There is still a month left in 2008, but some of the top search engines including Yahoo and Ask have published the most frequent search queries on their respective search engines for 2008. Google has not yet published its true top queries, but its most popular product searches are available.

Yahoo’s Top Searches

4. Miley Cyrus

6. Jessica Alba

8. Lindsay Lohan
9. Angelina Jolie
10. American Idol

“Hurricanes” takes the top spot for queries in the “news” category, while “IRS Stimulus Checks” ranks first for queries in the “economy” category.

Ask’s Top Searches

1. Dictionary
2. MySpace
3. Google
4. YouTube
5. Facebook
6. Coupons
7. Cars
8. Craigslist
9. Online degrees
10. Credit score

The top three questions asked on Ask.com were:

1) How do I get pregnant?
2) How do I lose weight?
3) How do I write a resume?
