Yahoo announced Wednesday that they will be updating their policies regarding how long they will retain user search data. According to their press release,

There is still a month left in 2008, but some of the top search engines including Yahoo and Ask have published the most frequent search queries on their respective search engines for 2008. Google has not yet published its true top queries, but its most popular product searches are available.
