September 2008 PageRank Update

Posted:

Toolbar PageRanks usually get updated about four times a year, or once every three months. Google surprised most SEOs this month with an early export of PageRanks - the last PR update was in July 2008. With all the rumours floating around about PageRank, be sure that you understand exactly what PR is and isn’t, and how it can actually affect your website.

PageRank 4SEP’s PageRank

SearchEnginePanel.com has achieved a PageRank of 4 with this latest update, after hopping from PR0 to PR2 earlier this year, and maintaining a PR3 throughout the past two PR updates. This is exciting news as it is the highest PageRank SEP has ever reached, and is a reflection of a regularly updated blog with consistent link building efforts.

Your Own PageRank

How did your pages fare this time around? Have you broken through any personal PR thresholds? Since PageRank is largely based on building links to your website, you should take a good look at that if you want a higher PR. It is also important to obtain a good number of incoming links and link building with a variety of sources. If you need help, feel free to contact us on our About page through the contact form.
