Google’s Webmaster Tools is in the process of changing its look. The old main “Dashboard” page now hides behind “Home,” and unread messages from the Message Center are now prominently displayed at the top.

I’m happy to report that the side navigation is much faster now (optimized AJAX?), so browsing through the different sections is much quicker. The functionality and tools available between the old and new versions are essentially the same, so it’s truly the look that has changed.

Overall, I like the cleaner look with the lighter colours, and the improved load time is a bonus. What do you think?
